Mailclient settings / Scan to Mail

Artikel erstellt am: 08.08.2018

You would like to use our Mailservers with programs other than Outlook but you do not know the settings for your mailprogram or Device like a Scan-to-mail System.

There are several methods avaiable to access our servers. Depending on your mailprogram, these settings are configured in different ways, but the following information is always needed:

  1. Servername / -address
  2. Username / Password
  3. Service-Settings

The servername is always
msexcas.asp.maxit-con.com

For most clients, this can be entered directly. In Outlook it will be found automatically if your administrator has set the correct autodiscover-entries (see separate FAQ-Entry).
For access via Web-Interface, please use
msexcas.asp.maxit-con.com/owa
You can also change your password here (via Options).

The username is typically your primary mailaddress. If it isn’t, your username was told you during the setup of your account. If your client prompts for username and domain, please try first with your full username (name@emaildomain) and an empty domain. If that doesn’t work, try to use ASP as domain and the first part of your full username (the part before @maildomain) as username.

The following services are available:

  • POP3 – via TLS (Port 110) or SSL (Port 995). Only encrypted connections are available to protect your password and privacy
  • IMAP4 – via TLS (Port 143) or SSL (Port 993). Only encrypted connections are available to protect your password and privacy
  • SUBMIT – via TLS (Port 587). Submit is the preferred protocol to deliver mail from clients, normally, every mailprogram supports it by just changing the SMTP-Port (25 => 587), using TLS and requiring user-authentification.
ATTENTION: You can only send mails with the e-mail address of the authenticated user (or any user you have „send-as“ rights for)
  • SMTP – via TLS (Port 25). As a fallback from networks in which the firewall blocks the SUBMIT-Port. Using TLS user-authentification is required to send e-mails to outside users.
ATTENTION: You can only send mails with the e-mail address of the authenticated user (or any user you have „send-as“ rights for)
